SECTION VI: HEALTH HAZARD DATA

ROUTES OF ENTRY & HEALTH  HAZARDS (ACUTE AND CHRONIC)

INGESTION:       

Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal distress, pain, etc.  Overexposure to certain components in this product may cause or aggravate pre-existing kidney, blood or liver effects.  Pre-existing lung disorders may be aggravated by exposure.  Health studied have shown that many chemicals pose human health risks which may vary from person to person.  Prolonged or repeated occupational overexposure to solvents may cause permanent brain and nervous system damage.  Intentional misuse by deliberate concentration and inhalation of contents may be harmful or fatal.  Exposure to liquids, vapors, or mists should be minimized.

EYES:

May cause irritation.

INHALATION:  

Inhalation of high vapor concentrations may result in nose, throat, and respiratory tract irritation.

SKIN:                  

May cause irritation.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID  PROCEDURES

INGESTION:

If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, get medical attention immediately.

EYES:

Flush with running water for 15 minutes, holding lid open to expose surface of eye, contact physician.

INHALATION:

If affected by vapors or spray mists, remove to fresh air at once.  Apply artificial respiration if necessary, contact physician immediately.

SKIN:

Remove contaminated clothing and shoes, wash with mild soap and water.

 

SECTION VII: PRECAUTIONS FOR  SAFE HANDLING AND USE

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE LARGE AMOUNTS ARE RELEASED:

Remove ignition sources.  Dike and take up with absorbent material like earth or floor dry.  Ensure adequate ventilation, avoid buildup of vapors.

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD:

Dispose in accordance with local, state, and federal regulation.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORAGE:

All containers should be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner and in accordance with governmental regulations.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS:

Keep containers closed when not in use.  Do not use or store near open flame or strong oxidizers.  Avoid breathing vapors or spray mists.  Avoid prolonged or repeated personal contact.  Wash thoroughly after use.

 

SECTION VIII: CONTROL MEASURES

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:

None required in normal use, but an appropriate, properly fitted NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator should be used when exposure exceeds published standards.

VENTILATION:

Control airborne concentrations below exposure guidelines.  Local exhaust ventilation may be necessary.
